Ofwat (The Water Services Regulation Authority) is the economic regulator of the water and sewerage companies in England and Wales. | Water and Sewerage Bills 2009-10
You may have heard that water and sewerage bills for customers in England and Wales will be changing from 1 April 2009.
You will need to contact your company if you require specific information about changes to your account.
Because we check and approve each company’s charges, we have published some information to help you understand your bill.

 | Surface Water Drainage Water and sewerage companies must remove and process the rain water which falls on properties and then flows into the public drainage systems. This is known as surface water drainage (SWD). Some water companies have changed the way they charge for this essential service, which costs around £600 million a year to provide across England and Wales.
