Cathryn Ross: Director of Markets and Economics
Cathryn joined Ofwat in September 2008. She will play a key role in working to achieve Ofwat's aim of introducing competition where it will benefit consumers. Her other responsibilities include enforcement, licensing and tackling anti-competitive behaviour under the Competition Act 1998.
Cathryn previously worked at the Competition Commission where she was involved in a number of high profile merger and market investigations over the past five years. Before that she held senior economist posts at the Office of the Rail Regulator (ORR) and Oftel, now Ofcom.
Cathryn is a member of the Ofwat Board’s New Appointments Committee.
