Aquarius 3 Financial Model

What is it?

The Aquarius 3 financial model has been developed to support the price setting process for the 2004 price review.

We used the November 2004 version of the model to produce the final determination of price limits in the 2004 price review. This version is based on the methodology set out in 'Setting water and sewerage price limits for 2005-10: Framework and approach' and is consistent with the business plan formats and tables.

The Aquarius 3 financial model was first released in November 2002 when it was based on the methodology for the price review in 1999 as set out in 'Setting price limits for water and sewerage services: The framework and business planning process for the 1999 Periodic Review'. The release in May 2003 was the first version to take account of the 2004 price setting methodology. We continued to develop the Aquarius 3 financial model and release new versions of the model as the price review progressed.

We have recently adapted the model for our Water Industry Forward Look to 2030 project (WIFL).

5.7	Nov 2004	Stand-alone industry version of Aquarius 3 containing all requests and fixes since release of 5.5 We used version 5.7 to produce the PR04 final determinations.
6.1(WIFL)	Mar 2006	Stand-alone industry version of Aquarius 3 containing Water Industry Forward Look model. We used version 6.1 for the modelling work in the Water Industry Forward Look.2010-30.
