Ofwat's redesigned website has passed an important milestone with well over 100,000 hits recorded on the site since its launch. The new website - www.ofwat.gov.uk - came on-line at the end of November and it is already proving a hit with visitors. Over a four month period from December 2002 to March 2003, there were:
Altogether, there were 276,000 hits during 2002-03 compared to 109,000 for 2001-02. The website is a valuable tool for stakeholders and other interested parties to access important information about the work of both Ofwat and WaterVoice. Customers are taking advantage of the flexibility offered by the website to contact WaterVoice. Nearly 100 complaints are being received every month about water companies, providing an early warning of emerging problems.
