Competition Analyst

The Water Services Regulation Authority (Ofwat) is the economic regulator of the water and sewerage companies in England and Wales. Ofwat works with other stakeholders to regulate the way in which water companies give consumers good quality and efficient service at a fair price.
Ofwat is currently undertaking out a wide ranging Review of Market Competition in the water industry. As a result of this work, the opportunity to work as a Competition Analyst has arisen within the Competition Team to help us take this work forward. The team is taking the lead in promoting effective competition and developing policy and guidance. As part of this team, you'll provide analysis, advice and support on the options for competition, and be a vital part in the development and implementation of our preferred strategy.
The Competition Analyst will contribute to the work of Ofwat's Competition Team in areas relating to Water Supply Licensing (WSL) regime, inset appointments and the Review of Market Competition. The Competition Analyst will manage consultations on changes to Ofwat's WSL guidance; revise guidance, deal with enquiries and research issues related to competition within the sector.
