Dear Regulatory Director
DIRECTOR OF NETWORK REGULATION
I am pleased to inform you that George Day has been appointed Director of Network Regulation. George will formally take up his new post on 9 June 2008.
George joined Ofwat in 1999 as a senior economist. His most recent post was Head of Asset Strategy. Before joining Ofwat he was a professional economist working on overseas development projects and consultancy. In his new role his responsibilities will cover asset strategy, quality enhancements, water resource economics, comparative efficiency and climate change. As a member of the management team he will play a key role in the leadership of the office. He will frequently attend Board meetings and contribute to the overall implementation of Ofwat's strategy.
George has already made a significant contribution to regulation and we look forward to his further success in this new position.
