Checklist for tariff trial planning

Following the publication of our consultation 'Ofwat's future strategy for customer charges for water and sewerage services', several companies have shown interest in trials for innovative tariffs.

In order to help companies put together an effective trial proposal, we have compiled a checklist of issues. These are items we will expect companies to have considered and information we will require in order to consider a tariff trial proposal. The checklist can be found in appendix 1.

The checklist is not definitive, but is designed to guide you in developing a trial proposal. Companies may need to focus on different issues depending on their individual circumstances and the objectives of the trial.

We welcome proposals for trials of innovative tariffs and look forward to working with companies to facilitate effective trials.
