WATER SUPPLY LICENSING REGIME

In WSL 14/05, dated 3 November 2005, we issued amendments to the access code guidance. WSL letters go to a wider audience, so I am writing to draw your attention to the changes to the guidance as set out in WSL 14/05, which requires action on your part.

As a consequence of the changes to the access code guidance, we require you to update your access code to reflect these changes. We understand that you will need time to achieve this. Your company should publish its revised access code on its website by 25 November 2005. The access code should be labelled 'version 2'.

Please arrange to send an electronic and a paper copy of your access code to Irene Marnell at Competition Policy Team, Office of Water Services, Centre City Tower, 7 Hill Street, Birmingham, B5 4UA or by e-mail to Irene.Marnell@ofwat.gsi.gov.uk by that date, or before if possible.

Please also provide contact details for the persons in your company who can discuss access agreements and prices with licensees and other relevant parties (such as Ofwat and CCWater). Your access code should also set out the contact details for customer transfers and the email address to which data flows should be sent. These details should be placed on your website.
