Setting water and sewerage price limits for 2005-10: Framework and approach
Our role is to set price limits that enable a well managed company to deliver the required services in a sustainable and efficient way. In 2004 we will set price limits for the water and sewerage companies for the period 2005-06 to 2009-10.
This will be our third periodic review and the fourth time price limits have been set for each water company. Our approach is a development of the way price limits were set at the 1994 and 1999 reviews.
We consulted on our proposed approach to the price review in October 2002. This document sets out our revised approach in the light of consultation responses.
