TO ALL REGULATORY DIRECTORS OF WATER AND SEWERAGE COMPANIES AND WATER ONLY COMPANIES 1 November 2007 Dear Colleague FINAL REPORTING REQUIREMENTS FOR CAPITAL MAINTENANCE ECONOMETRIC RETURN Earlier in the year we started to review our capital maintenance econometric data requirements for the 2009 periodic review. In July we held an industry workshop to discuss the capital maintenance econometric models and potential improvements to these. In RD17/07 we consulted on our proposals for the capital maintenance econometric return. We have reviewed the responses and clarified some issues relating to the additional data requirements proposed by some companies. Annex 1 includes a summary of the changes we have made to the draft reporting requirements. We are issuing these information requirements in electronic form only. There are five sections containing the tables, definitions and general, company and reporter guidance. Any queries relating to this return should be made on the clarification pro forma and emailed to quality.assurance@ofwat.gsi.gov.uk. We will send the Reservoir information capture system to companies on the 10 December 2007.
