Market Reform and Finance Forum
Background
In September 2009 the UK and Welsh Assembly Governments published a consultation on the Cave review of competition and innovation in water markets.
In November 2009 the UK and Welsh Assembly Governments in conjunction with Ofwat and a representative group of appointed companies from the water and sewerage sectors established the 'Market Reform and Finance Forum'.
The purpose of the forum
The purpose of this forum is to exchange information and views to ensure the sector as a whole retains the necessary confidence and support of debt providers and capital markets, while legislative and regulatory change to introduce greater competition is being considered and introduced.
