About water supply licences
A water supply licence allows you to access an appointed water company's supply system to supply water to eligible premises. You can then compete with them to serve customers.
Existing water companies who are appointed under WIA91 (as amended) can compete by setting up associate companies. Their licence will allow them to operate anywhere in England and Wales, except in the supply region of their associate water company.
Copies of the existing water supply licences are available.
