Extra care services
Some customers need assistance with paying their water bills or with accessing the services of their water or sewerage company. This section tells you about the schemes that are available to help you.
- Help for customers needing special assistance. Water companies should offer assistance so that you are not put at a disadvantage because of your age, disability or illness in comparison with other customers
- WaterSure (Vulnerable groups scheme). Your water company must offer a capped bill to certain metered household customers who need to use large amounts of water.
- Charitable trust and restart schemes. Many companies offer trust funds or payment matching schemes to help household customers who are in financial difficulty.
