Because of age, disability or illness, you may need extra help from your water companies in the way that you receive your water and sewerage services.
Additional services available
Your water company will offer a range of additional services, such as:
- password schemes to prevent bogus callers;
- issuing bills and other literature in different formats, such as large print or Braille;
- making special arrangements to contact you in an emergency; and
- a meter re-siting service so that you can keep an eye on how much water you use.

We have set out guidance to the water companies on the services they should offer to customers who need extra help. The guidelines make sure that you are not put at a disadvantage because of your age, disability or illness in comparison with other customers.
