You are responsible for the drains, water pipes and plumbing fixtures on your property.

The required standard is BSEN806 Part II, which states that fittings must be capable of withstanding a maximum operational pressure of 10 bar, and a test pressure over one hour of 15 bar, without failure. There is a risk that plumbing fittings that do no conform to this standard may fail in use.
