Michael Brooker is a scientist who retired in 2005 as Chief Executive of Dwr Cymru Cyfyngedig (Welsh Water) following a 25-year career in the water industry in Wales. During that period he was Chief Scientist and subsequently Divisional Operations Director before becoming Managing Director in 1996. He is currently a non-executive member of the Water Industry Commission for Scotland, and a non-executive member of the Executive Board of the Natural Environmental Research Council.
