Dear Regulatory Director

2005-06 PRINCIPAL STATEMENT: RPI

I said in RD 20/04 that I would write to confirm the November 2004 RPI figure, which you will need in order to complete your 2005-06 principal statement. The all items retail price index (RPI) for November 2004 was 189.0.

Please enter this value in cell K27 of the 2005-06 principal statement information capture system to one decimal place. This cell is directly below the value for the November 2003 all items RPI which was 182.7. The spreadsheet will automatically calculate the annual increase as 3.45%.

The maximum level of the infrastructure charge is now £260.15.
