Maximum price for reselling
The maximum resale price is the most that anyone can charge another person for supplying water or sewerage services that they have bought from a water or sewerage company.
The maximum resale price does not apply to holiday lets, second homes, commercial customers or private supplies, and it has only applied to charges since 1 April 2001.
We determine the maximum resale price. We have determined that anybody reselling water or sewerage services should charge no more than the amount the company charges them, plus a reasonable administration charge.
Enforcing the maximum charge
If you charge more than the maximum resale price, your purchasers can take you to the small claims court to recover the money.
