Seasonal tariffs
You are here: Ofwat > Non-household consumers > Your water bill > How non-household customers are charged > Large and intermediate users > Seasonal tariffs
If you use less water in the summer than in the winter then you may benefit from a seasonal tariff.
Seasonal tariffs have a volumetric rate that is higher in the summer than in the winter.
Companies can apply seasonal tariffs if they read your meter at appropriate intervals. It is not necessary for you to have a 'smart' meter.
Companies offering this tariff
The following companies offer seasonal tariffs for non-household customers:
- Sembcorp Bournemouth Water (formerly Bournemouth and West Hampshire Water)
- South East Water (former Mid Kent area)
- Veolia Water East (formerly Tendring Hundred Water)
- Severn Trent Water
Your can find out more in your company’s charges scheme.
