Exemptions from charges
Every customer who receives a water or sewerage service must pay charges. No one is exempt.
Some charges are based on rateable values, this means that organisations or properties with very low or no rateable value may pay very little for their water and sewerage bills.
We cannot decide to exempt any organisation from paying charges. Any future exemption from charges would require government legislation.
Delays in receiving a bill
If you have not received a water bill for some time but are receiving a service, you should contact your water company. You have to pay for the water you use, even if your bill is delayed. Not receiving a bill for some time may result in a very large water or sewerage bill as it will cover a longer time period. As a non-household customer, non-payment of bills can result in disconnection by your water company.
