Since publication of PR09/26 we have been asked by the Welsh Assembly Government to clarify their position on the transfer. The Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing launched the Welsh Assembly Government's Strategic Policy Position Statement on Water for consultation on 14 January 2009. The Statement sets out their core principles and policies on a number of key areas relating to water in Wales, including a proposed way forward on the transfer of private sewers in Wales.
