Southern Water: leakage


Breach of leakage targets

Following Southern Water's breach of its leakage targets in 2009-10 and 2010-11, we secured a legally binding commitment from the company to achieve its leakage reduction targets for the next four years. When we next set price limits, the company will also return £5 million to its customers. This will be at its shareholders’ expense.
