About Consultation

This consultation invites comments on the proposed modifications of the conditions of the Instruments of Appointment (‘licence’) of two water companies, Severn Trent Water and Dee Valley Water. Although these are separate modifications, as they are closely interlinked we are consulting on them together.

The modifications, if agreed with Severn Trent Water and Dee Valley Water, will give effect to the changes we consider necessary following our conditional decision to grant variations to the areas of appointment for both companies and to grant Dee Valley Water a new appointment in respect of wastewater services.

We invite stakeholders to comment on the proposed modifications by no later than 25 April 2018. Each relevant company should also indicate its acceptance or otherwise of the proposed modification by this date. You can e-mail your response to [email protected] or post them to:

Severn Trent Water and Dee Valley Water licence changes consultation, Finance and Governance, Ofwat, Centre City Tower, 7 Hill Street, Birmingham B5 4UA.
