About Consultation

Our policy aim is to ensure that protections remain in place for those Non-Household Customers who are seriously affected by Covid-19, while enabling Retailers to recover and manage debt from Non-Household Customers who are operating and able to pay their water bill. We expect Retailers to take the necessary steps to differentiate between those customers who genuinely need support and those who should be expected to pay. This Customer Protection Code Change Proposal (‘the Change Proposal’) has therefore been developed to achieve this policy aim.
