We required externally assured action plans from four companies – Thames Water, Southern Water, Severn Trent and South East Water. We looked carefully at their plans, and in general, we welcome the level of effort that went into their responses. But there’s more to do – and faster.
Where we had concerns, we spoke to companies directly to ensure they could start to take action in good time; and we know that companies have been updating and progressing their plans since they were published. We’ve also written to these companies, outlining the areas they ought to be thinking about. You can see our letters below:
