Communication with stakeholders was also a big area of concern in our Out in the Cold report. We’ve seen evidence of wider engagement with stakeholders, particularly local resilience forums, local authorities and emergency services.
Building and maintaining these relationships will improve the ability of companies to coordinate their response with partners, and minimise the impact on their customers.
We expect to see more progress from companies in terms of interacting with retailers during incidents. This is one of the areas that Water UK is coordinating sector-wide work on.
