The document provides guidance for Appointees on the assessment of technical discreteness of projects to be delivered by DPC in their PR24 business plans. We consulted on the draft guidance in February 2023 and hosted a workshop with water companies in March 2023. We are grateful to those who responded for their inputs and have reflected much of the feedback in the guidance. This document supersedes any prior guidance or briefing notes issued by Ofwat in relation to technical guidance of DPC projects.
