On 27 February 2015, Ofwat began a consultation on a proposal to vary SSE Water’s appointment to become the water and sewerage services provider for a development in Bristol Water’s water supply area and Wessex Water’s sewerage services area called Emerson’s Green Gateway in South Gloucestershire (“the site”). When fully built, the site will consist of 325 household properties. The consultation ended on 27 March 2015. During the consultation period, we received representations from three organisations, which we considered in making our decision. On 6 May 2015, we granted SSE Water a variation to its existing appointment to enable it to supply water and sewerage services to the site. This notice gives our reasons for making this variation.
