Price control arrangements applying to wholesalers are important for both retailers and customers in the business retail market. Wholesale controls regulate not only prices paid by retailers and ultimately customers, but also service and performance levels that retailers and customers can expect. Ofwat’s current PR24 review of wholesale price controls has the potential to affect outcomes and market operation for the business retail market. Stakeholders operating in or concerned with the business retail market are therefore engaging with the PR24 process.

We used this MOSL facilitated workshop to outline some of the key policy thinking across PR24 and for retailers and wholesalers to provide input into the PR24 process from the business retail market perspective.
