Thames Water’s award-winning innovative mental health strategy, ‘Time to Talk’.
The water sector in England and Wales faces many challenges. Finding solutions to those challenges will need the help of the many thousands of people that work in the sector.
Every year 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem (such as anxiety and depression). And according to the Centre for Mental Health well-being issues at work cost the UK Economy £34.9 billion in 2016-17.
Thames Water launched their innovative mental health strategy, Time to Talk, in April 2017 – winning an award for their approach. They have also used their approach as part of their education programme with schoolchildren.
