Water sector’s handling of supply interruptions: tell us your story

Did you experience a loss of water supply in late February or early March 2018? We want you to tell us your story.

The sudden thaw after the ‘Beast from the East’ in late February and early March 2018 led to many customers experiencing issues with their water supplies. In some cases, customers were without water supplies or received extremely low water pressure.

On 11 March 2018 we announced we were carrying out a review of the water sector’s handling of water supply issues experienced by customers across England and Wales during the severe weather conditions. We want to get to the bottom of what happened so that lessons can be learned if similar incidents happen in the future. We will be publishing our findings from the review in June 2018.

As part of our review we want to understand the experiences of individual customers and others.

You can tell us your story using the form below.

Your response will contribute to our review of the recent freeze and thaw incidents. All responses that we receive will be read and considered by us. By submitting your response you are giving us permission to use your response in our report. We may however decide not to directly publish or use your response as part of our final report.

Please note that this response is not a complaint. You should not include personal identifying information in your response, such as your full name, address or phone number. Ofwat will anonymise all responses received to remove any personal identifying information. If you have a complaint, please contact CCWater online or call 0300 034 2222 (for customers in England) / 0300 034 3333 (for customers in Wales).
