About Consultation

On 30 July Ofwat published its decision on next steps in relation to Covid-19 and the business retail market. As part of this decision we decided to let the use of the temporary vacant flag expire at the end of July 2020.  Following the expiration of these vacancy flags on 31 July, we have decided to allow Retailers until the end of September to remove the flags in CMOS.

With the focus switching to the removal of the temporary vacancy flags from the market we noted that we would work with MOSL to make updates to the Guidance on the use of Temporary Vacancy to support this process.

We are now consulting on proposed updates to the guidance and have attached a redline copy for stakeholders to review.

Responding to this consultation

We welcome stakeholder views on the proposed updates by midday on Monday 17 August 2020. Please note that we will share the responses to this consultation with MOSL.

Please submit email responses to [email protected], with the subject ‘Temporary Vacancy guidance – consultation”.
